Local progress
Tuklas stores lesson and practice completion, challenge status, content versions, and your last learning activity in localStorage under tuklas:progress:v1. It is used to display progress in this browser. There are no accounts or cross-device synchronization.
You can remove it using Clear progress on the progress page or your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing browser data can remove it too. If storage is blocked, learning still works and progress remains in memory for the current visit.
Saved code drafts and exercise answers
Interactive coding practices save your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript drafts in this browser’s localStorage so you can return to your work. This includes JavaScript drafts for the counter and greeting form, and CSS and JavaScript drafts for the debugging practice. File-path exercises also save the path answers you enter. These use tuklas:center-card:v1 and exercise-specific tuklas:practice keys.
These saved drafts and exercise answers are not uploaded to a Tuklas server or synchronized between devices. Do not include passwords, private API keys, or sensitive personal information in practice code or answers. Someone using the same browser profile may be able to view your saved work.
A practice’s reset control replaces its saved code or answers with the starter version. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes saved drafts and answers as well as progress. Clear progress on the progress page removes completion records, not coding drafts or file-path answers. If local storage is blocked, you can still practice, but your work may not survive leaving or reloading the page.
Hosting and technical information
Tuklas is hosted on Render. Loading a page sends technical request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to the hosting infrastructure so it can deliver and protect the site. Provider processing and retention are described in Render’s privacy policy. Tuklas does not currently use Google Analytics or a separate visitor analytics service.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
Tuklas is preparing to apply for Google AdSense. Advertising is not currently enabled. The following describes how information may be used if Google ads are enabled; it does not mean that approval has been granted or advertising cookies are currently being set by Tuklas.
When advertising is enabled, third-party providers, including Google, may use cookies to choose ads using earlier visits to Tuklas and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads across sites. Other participating ad providers may also use cookies.
Ad requests may share your IP address, page URL, and browser or device information with Google and participating providers for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and, where permitted, personalization. Your advertising and cookie choices
You can manage or opt out of Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. For participating third-party providers, visit YourAdChoices to explore available opt-outs. These choices do not necessarily remove all ads or prevent processing for purposes such as security and measurement.
Your browser settings can block or delete cookies and site storage. Clearing Tuklas’s site storage also removes saved learning progress. Browser-based choices may need to be repeated on other devices or after clearing cookies.
No advertising consent interface is active in this version because advertising is not enabled. Before ads are introduced, this policy will be updated to identify the active providers and explain how to change or withdraw any applicable consent choices.
Contact messages and privacy questions
For privacy questions or requests concerning messages you have sent, email kylamarieangeles@gmail.com. Email links open your own email client. Your email provider and the recipient’s provider handle the message; Tuklas has no website contact form. Messages may include your address, name, and anything you choose to share. Please avoid sending sensitive information.
Storage and deletion
Progress, saved drafts, and exercise answers stay in your browser until you reset or clear them or your browser removes them. Tuklas cannot retrieve or delete this local data remotely. Use Clear progress on the progress page for completion records, or your browser’s site-data settings to remove all of this site’s saved data. Hosting records and any future advertising data have separate retention practices controlled by their providers.
